Hot off the presses… we’ve just officially announced our new solution for publishers and advertisers – SQI – Social Quality Index.

The ShareThis team has been working hard to provide the industry with a universal measure of social quality on the web – SQI (Social Quality Index). Based on ShareThis’ vast publisher network of 1.4 million sites (approximately 80% of the web)*, SQI evaluates and benchmarks the social performance of a website. SQI’s patent-pending algorithm evaluates the entire scope of social traffic, such as outbound shares, click-back traffic and page views, across multiple social networks and properties. SQI then provides a score ranging from 1 to 10, with 10 representing the highest social quality.

What does this all mean?

SQI Lookup allows publishers, advertisers and curious minds to explore the social quality of ShareThis publishers. It also gives users a snapshot of top social sites by category.
