Question So, why the new widget?
Answer The new widget is simple to install and keeps your visitors on your page where they belong. Users that share your content today have to leave your website to complete the process on Facebook, Twitter, etc. But, now visitors can share to multiple networks, quickly and easily.
Question Why do you ask me to Log-In to Facebook, Twitter or other sites?
Answer ShareThis is using OAuth – an increasingly common log in utility, so that the entire sharing flow happens on your website. OAuth also allows users to simultaneously post to multiple destinations by remembering their sharing preferences.
Question Hmm.. but is this widget going to slow down my page?
Answer Heck no! Our new widget is very lightweight (~20K) and the new widget has essentially the same file size as the old one. It should load faster than almost anything else on your page.
Question I already have the ShareThis button. How do I upgrade?
Answer Simple. Just click here, you'll be given an additional line of code to add to your existing ShareThis code. It will indicate that you want to be upgraded to our new version.
Question But, I have the really old version of the buttons and the widget. What do I do?
Answer Well, it's time to upgrade then. New widget. New buttons. Get it here!

Question If I just want to test the new widget for a while, can I go back to the one I have today?
Answer Sure. Just remove the line of code we provided for the upgrade and you’ll switch back to your usual share widget.
